Returns & Refunds Policy

Every StarredNight poster is made to order: you choose the date, location, text and design. This policy explains the rights you have and how we handle damaged, defective or missing orders.
1. No statutory right of withdrawal for personalised goods
Under article VI.53, 3Β° of the Belgian Economic Code and article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU, goods made to the consumer's specifications are excluded from the 14-day right of withdrawal. Our star-map posters fall entirely within that exclusion.
2. Your statutory conformity rights remain intact
The exclusion of the withdrawal right does not affect your statutory warranty. Under articles 1649bisβ1649octies of the Belgian Civil Code, as a consumer you are entitled to free repair, replacement or a refund in case of a defect that already existed at the moment of delivery. This legal warranty applies for two years from delivery.
3. Our goodwill scheme
Beyond the statutory warranty, we offer a free replacement or a full refund (your choice) in the following situations:
- Damaged on arrival β report the issue within 14 days of receipt, attaching a photo.
- Production defect β misprint, wrong colours, poor print quality; also to be reported within 14 days of receipt.
- Wrong item received β we will ship the correct product right away.
- Lost in transit β let us know within 30 days of the order date if your parcel has not arrived despite a reasonable wait.
4. Typos in date, location or text
Because you enter the content (date, location, text, names) yourself, you are responsible for its accuracy. If you notice a mistake within one hour of ordering, we will try to correct it for free before printing starts. After that, we can offer a replacement at production cost only, as a goodwill gesture β a free reprint is not available in this case.
5. How to submit a request
E-mail hello@starrednight.com with:
- your order number;
- a short description of the issue;
- where applicable, one or more clear photos.
We reply within 2 working days and propose a solution. Refunds are issued to the same payment method used for the original purchase, generally within 14 days of our confirmation.
6. Do I have to send the damaged poster back?
In most cases, no. We usually ask you to dispose of or recycle the damaged poster responsibly. If we do need a return, we will send you a prepaid shipping label β you will not have to pay anything.
7. Dispute resolution
If we cannot solve the issue together, you may as a consumer contact the Belgian Consumer Ombudsman Service (consumentenombudsdienst.be) or use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).
